We were disappointed to learn that MG will no longer be offering its electric five-seater. With its excellent ride and handling, it would have made a great alternative to the Ford Focus Electric and the Honda E for families looking for an affordable five-seater. The decision also means that we won’t be getting the updated version of the MG5 EV. This leaves us with a choice between the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Bolt as our main contenders for an affordable five-seater. There is another MG model we’d love to see, though. Specifications Of MG5 Car

MG offers two variants of the new MG5: the more powerful, larger battery-powered version, and the all-electric one. The two models look identical from the outside, but they are very different on the inside.

The larger battery version offers a 0-62mph time of 6.7 seconds, which is slightly faster than the Tesla Model S. It has a top speed of 135mph and can go up to 215 miles on a single charge. The model comes with a three-cylinder 1.6-liter petrol engine that produces 109bhp.

The electric version uses the same 90kWh battery as the Jaguar I-Pace. It gets a maximum power output of 170bhp, giving it the equivalent of a 3.9-liter V6, meaning it can sprint from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 87mph. There’s a range of between 220 and 265 miles.

The powertrain of the MG5 EV has remained unchanged since the first model was launched in 2003. This model has the same 61.1 kWh battery pack and a 154 bhp electric motor that drives the front wheels. According to MG, the new MG5 EV can tow up to 500kg. In the EV’s later stages, there may be a version with a smaller battery pack that reduces the vehicle’s range In addition to the new powertrain.

It has four seats and can easily accommodate up to four passengers. However, due to a downward-sloping roofline at the back, the rear headroom is less than standard sedans.
